Snails or shrimp first?

Snails or shrimp first?
I just got my tank set up. I ordered the algae and a Java fern plant. Should i order the snails before the shrimp or order them at the same time? Should i wait a couple weeks after getting the algae to order the snails?

Brand new. I just ordered the algae. I was looking for a small plant to put in there. Maybe I'll just settle for a fake one. What about the snails/ shrimp?

Snails go in first, is what I've always heard. They help the tank cycle and get the water better prepared for the shrimp.
