Shrimp holding and carrying stuff

Why do they go around holding and carrying little strips of the macroalgae sometimes? Seemingly not grazing off of it, just holding it... taking it all over the tank.. is it just random or ? they like doing it for the fun of it? or the macroalgae got stuck in their pincers? Just curious

I think sometimes it just gets tangled on their legs. But I have seen shrimp try to hoard little tiny bits of food pellet and even run with it into a hole in the rock as other shrimp tried to pull it away. It's kinda funny to watch. Looks like they are playing soccer.
