Gunmetal & Mustafa: Ok, I was at the right place at the right time... I caught a pic of one my the cherry reds on the media bag I cut and wrapped over my filter intake... so this baby shrimp is just a couple of weeks older than when I got 'em from Mustafa... will newborns get sucked in by this?

Hi Quake, your Cherries seem to be developing a nice red color! I see a real difference from the first pics you had. The next thing that will happen is the females will start developing the yellow saddle.
It does look like your mesh is fine enough to keep shrimplets out. It's too bad about the minor restriction of the water flow though.
