Hi, new here.
I have a question about Cherry shrimp breeding. Can they breed in a tank with other fish? I have my Cherries in 20 gallon planted tank with Endlers and a few ottocinclus. What are the chances of the babies not being eaten by the other inhabitants of the tank?
I have cherries in a tank with male Endlers, and the population is slowly increasing. The Endlers do pick most of the babies off, but some survive. The breeding certainly won't be as fast as in a shrimp-only tank. You should make sure you have dense plants like java moss, riccia or hornwort in which the babies can hide away from the fish for the best results.
