Thanks for the update & pics here and on your other "collecting" thread.
I have two questions:
1.) On your last picture, there seems to be the filter part of the appendage suspended against the glass - what exactly is going on there?
2.) There was a thread some time back, a person had a filter shrimp with I think three of its legs missing. At that time, the idea of the appendages regenerating - shall I say instantaneously? during/after a molt was discussed. So - is that what happens, and when? Just after the molt, the appendage just grows??? Can you see it grow? I take it, this has to take place while the shell is still soft?
Thanks for the pictures. How many did you get? This one looks like it's a female. Did you see any males at all? I assume that the males would have a larger set of first walking legs like many other filter feeding atyids.
