Wood shrimp with algae on it

I just saw one of my wood shrimp for the first time in about 2 weeks. And I noticed he had algae growing on him. Is this common or bad for the little guy?

Don't worry about it. It's normal. :) The algae grows on them since they are very stationary shrimp...almost like a piece of stone. The algae will be gone when the shrimp molts.
