tetra power filter 30 60 on my 55 gal prawn tank

well i have one on my 55 gal tank a month and its making the classic impeller noise and ive cleaned it twice. iv'e looked these up on a few sites and they say there crap and my other filter on the same tank is a wal mart cheap version of marineland 30 60 and it works great . o tomarrow im going to petco and get a marineland 400 bio wheel i heard there great . so i thought id share my thought's anyone else have the same probs ?

Bubbles. You have air inside and it will knock like crazy until you get it out.

checked that i have a power head in there for them but i even turned it off and it still was doing it so i ordered a marineland bio filter 400 there supposed to be the best i cant tell the biggest prawns long arm are now a little red man there getting big late yesterday i lloked like they guy from the alien movie when he found the skin in the hanger bay well i did thet when the biggest prawn came up over the rock same look on my face

My powerhead gets bubble in it that turning it off doesn't help. I need to disconnect it and turn it upside down under water to get the bubbles out.

well i even took it apart and cleaned everything still doing it so im junking it
