HELP ! I AM SOMEWHAT NEW TO SHRIMP, AND HAVE HAD CHERRY REDS FOR AROUND 10 MONTHS, PICKED UP 12 YOUNG AND PUT THEM IN A 30 BREEDER WITH ALOT OF PLANTS AND LET THEM GO, AND BOY DID THEY GO......AND NOW TO THE PROBLEM.....I STARTED PUTTING SOME OF THE NICE RED FEMALES AND WHAT I THOUGHT WERE MALES IN SOME 10 GAL. I NOW HAVE.. ADULTS ...THAT RANGE FROM ...CLEAR BODY ...TO... BLOOD RED...TO BRIGHT RED... TO A LIGHT SHADING OF BLUE.
I JUST NOTICE TONITE A FEMALE WITH SOMEWHAT OF A CLEAR BODY AND SHE HAS GREENISH EGGS.
AFTER READING SOME OF THE OTHER ARTICLES AND GOING THROUGH THE SHRIMP VARIETIES PAGE . I GUESSED THEY MUST OF BEEN CROSSED.
SHOULD I GET RID OF THIS GROUP AND START OVER WITH NEW REDS OR CAN I BREED OUT THE OTHER COLORS OR LACK OF ?
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.
I KNOW I AM A LITTLE LONG WIND.
WHAT SHOULD I DO

First of all, welcome to the group.
Next, take off your CAPS LOCK. In cybespace this means your are mad and yelling like crazy.
Here is what I suggest. Take out all the best red females, then just purchase a few known superred males and put them together.
Now for the others, just watch them for a while and see what they do. I've had a few females that cary eggs and have almost no color. Each time they have eggs they get redder. Once they drop the eggs they often lighten up. If they don't, you can always sell them on ebay or aquabid. Just be honest about what you are selling.
