Blue Tiger Shrimp

I finally found out what the new shrimp I bought are. I hope they breed he said I was lucky to have them..good thing I bought up the whole tank when I had the chance. Anyone else have these shrimp?

Do you have a picture of your shrimp? I know the blue tiger shrimp because a friend of mine breeds them in Germany...however, as far as I know they don't breed true yet. In other words, when two blue tiger shrimp breed, the offspring are not all blue. Instead you have some normal colored tiger shrimp among them.

Where did you get them?

I dont have a picture of them, ill try to borrow a digital camra and take a picture. The fish store I went to buy them from said that they only can get them like once a year, if that. He said he always trys to get them but he wouldnt tell me where he gets them. As I dont think he wants me to cut out the middle man.

They had a tank of them some the deepest blue, almost like they had been dyed. I have only 3 out of the 5 I bought. Two just seems to of disappeared..I think they might of jumped out during a water change. I been asking each week for the past month if they could possibily just hunt me down some more.

Did you wind up with a pair out of the three you had left?? Any eggs? Did that petstore get any more in?

I have three. two of them seem to be able to get a little bigger oen more mnolt and I'll expect them to start carrying eggs I hope. The third one is very small but continues to grow. Though i think Mufasa said that they dont breed or soemthing along those lines. i have been calling the pet sore every single week to make them get more. I am praying they do trust me I'll let you all know and then buy them all and disperse them amoung the board at cost

of course after i keep all that I want hehehe...Im telling you If you could truely see the intense blue of this shrimo you would be amazed. It was a true deep blue amazing to the eyes...like I said I thought the things had been dipped in marcyede or what ever that blue chemical I always see fish transported in. I need to get a digital camra.
