Is It possible to use too much Prime when conditioning water ?
I know it would waste money but can too much hurt the shrimp?

It's just hard to measure for a small tank as the directions are one capful for 50 gallons. Also 1 thread is approx 1 ml so was just wondering how careful I should be when doing the small water exchanges required for my tank.
I'm want to give my shrimp a good and safe home. It's difficult to figure how much for a gallon or two of water. That is why I'm wondering if it's possible to overdose?

I use Amquel+ that uses 2.5ml per 5 gallon bucket. It is very simple to get that as it is how much my standard 3ml dropper sucks in. You use a lot less Prime, but a SLIGHT overdose should not be a problem. Just don't double or tripple the dose. By my measure 7-8 drops=1ml.
They have no way of knowing exactly what the chlorine or chloramine levels are in your water supply. so they are a little conservative in their dosing.
