Nah...it's probably not a hybrid. Honestly, I don't see an red on the picture. Look like a normal Tiger shrimp to me. The intensity of the dark lines can be variable.

As to shrimp looking "fine"....I've seen shrimp that were about to fall over and die still manage to molt, mate and start carrying eggs, before they just fell over. Usually, the behavior of a shrimp is an indicator of the its health. The shrimp have to be constantly picking at something. If they are not picking, they are either about to molt or sick and about to die. The speed of their picking action is an indicator of how healthy they are, too. The faster they are picking, the healthier they are. Slow pickers have some issues, although nothing life-threatening..*yet*. You heard it here first.

actually my shrimp will tell me rigth away something is going bad, just by looking at them.

if i put a little peace of food in the tank, and 1 minute after only 4 or 5 shrimp on it , i know something is bad, because normally after 1 minute i will not be able to see the piece of food , it will covered by shrimp

but the picking behavior is really interesting

Another question here... there is a tiger shrimp tat is carryingher eggs its almost two weeks now... when will the mum drop her eggs and when eill the eggs hatch??
