My new CRS and TIGER tank
My three weeks old shrimp tank. I am using ADA soil with a hanging filter and also a pressurised Co2 system.Currently my ph is around 6 and temperature varies from 27c-29c, 5.4WPG...should be enough... now I have few crystal red and some tiger shrimps. My tank still in cycling mode but no death reported so far.

Get a photobucket or other picture hosting account and upload your pictures there. You can then use the img tag format in the editor here to insert the pic. You canuse the preview to see if it works. An example is right above the compose window. Look and you'l see it.[/img]
BTW- check the mineral content of any soil you use. Many metalic ions will be bad for the shrimp in the long run. I am not familiar with yours.

Ok let me try...

It works...
thank you "badflash"
The ADA soil "Amazon" kind has been used by the LFS so he recommended me. Its almost a month now and no death reported. I guess its allright for the shrimps
Inter breed???? I am not aware of that.. so how does the shrimp looks like when they interbreed.. is it a good thing?

for me , that mean this shrimp is not happy , but i can be wrong.
the thing i observe when i lost mine is the change of color on the line.
black to reddish brown......
mustafa , any advice ?
Yes, that's usually the case. Not stressed-out, healthy tiger shrimp have very dark stripes and are quite clear...no sign of milky coloration. The shrimp in the picture looks ok, although it's hard to tell from just a picture. The flash on a camera can make colors look different from what they really are, especially if it's just the "normal" flash that comes with the camera.zapisto wrote: well
