Addition to the Family, Neocaridina cf.zhangjiajiensis
Received a shipment of Neocaridina cf. zhangjiajiensis "white", from Mustafa.
If no one ,has bought and received, Shrimp from Mustafa
They do not know what they are missing.
If, you have, you know what I mean.
The care he takes in packaging is First Rate ,
It was 24 degrees the day I received my Shrimp. ( Priority Mail ).
And all were still alive.
Why spend the extra money on over-night shipping , When you can spend it on more shrimp.
Here a a couple of pictures
Thanks Mustafa

Just a update
2 Days ago , several of the snowballs molted.
And tonight I noticed I have at least 1 Female and she is developing eggs.
That is just 1 week after receiving the shrimp.
What do you put in your water Mustafa !!!
I will post some pictures when she starts to show a little better.
Have a Great Day

Haha! That's what I was going to say .badflash wrote:If the eggs show up after a molt, it is what YOU have in your water!
Congrats, Newjohn - those guys are just so cute, I love them. Sounds like it won't be too long before you'll have more! Great job with the photography - it's interesting to see the link between the "green" food and their digestive tracts .

Hello Shrimpmania
Besides the Cherry Reds I sold them, the only Shrimp they have are "Ghost Shrimp".
I will not use the other name they go by. It is a big cichlid area around these parts.
Greg said he will look into finding me another wholesaler who carries Shrimp.
But I will have to wait for "Special Order" Time. He said shipping cost have gone through the roof. The cost on one Box , Airport to Airport is $90.00.

Hi John! I'm glad your snowball shrimp are coming along nicely.
Yes, please do that. These shrimp look especially attractive once their eggs show up in the ovaries and they finally become ovigerous with those nice white eggs.Newjohn wrote: I will post some pictures when she starts to show a little better.

I've been enjoying my Snowballs that I got from Mustafa for a few months now. I have only one female to five males, so four of the lads lose out. So far she has had two clutches and these shrimp look really great when they are egg laden. Looks like they are walking around with a belly full of Tic Tacs. I'm expecting her to molt again at any time. She has been on a schedule of becoming ovigerous about every fifth week and she's looking ready. It's been taking her three weeks to deliver young and a couple more to "saddle up" again and molt. It'll be fun when Halloween comes around and I can set up a tank to look like a haunted house and have these shrimp crawling all about like little ghosts.
