About the breeding I can't remember but it seems like I read something somewhere about them having a long time between breeding Do they need to molt to breed??
and what is the time frame between times they carry eggs because it has been awhile since my female had eggs???
I have had a bit of luck but I do not want to get to exited just yet since they are not in full freshwater yet but I have a few amano's that have transformed from larva to mini shrimp I am doing water changes with freshwater to convert them back : ) whhoo!!...
I hope to practice with success on the amano shrimp to have some confidence with breeding my (african fan/vampire shrimp)
Any clues on what will trigger spawning with the fan shrimp or is it a matter of molting?
Man one of my males has gotten huge They Are so cool

That is very common I guess they throw back the ones that don’t have the cool large front legs which means they are throwing back the females I try to purchase the younger ones than I feel like they are a better chance at being female and also adapting to tank life better
I have at least two males one female and two more that I hope are female but they may be a bit young to tell just yet we will see
Have you breed any othey shrimp with success yet (that require the brackish/saltwater)?
How many do you have? Curious!

I have a suspicion i have a male and a female.... certainly i have one with HUGE front legs and one with normal, non huge ones....
However they are only approx half the stated adults size, and they have not shed in the last 3 months or so which is worrying me slightly.
They are active and feeding well however.
Hopefully, they will continue to grow, and shed and perhaps breed!
