"Off-colored" Shrimp
In our big community tank, we have a mixture of gray Yamato shrimp, Cherry Red shrimp, and Bumblebee shrimp. We have had a lot of breeding take place. It seems that several of the shrimp (some of tiny and some are well grown now) are a kind of dark color, different from any of the species we started with. Could some of these shrimp be interbreeding? Is this possible with Yamato and Cherry Reds in particular? If so, looks really interesting.

I too am surprised the bumblebees are doing well with the other shrimp
. Are all types of shrimp carrying eggs? I would check out the "shrimp varieties" section of this site to see what shrimp might interbreed and also be familiar with best water conditions
Otherwise best wishes and hope you enjoy the hobby
