Geez, in the case of my algae eaters, the most I have done in the case of vegetables is to add a slice of zucchini once a week or so. I just stuck a rock through the middle so it would sink and dropped it in there. The algae eaters loved it and I imagine amano shrimp would probably go to town in it, too, although I've never tried it in a tank with amanos.

The sweet potato was microwaved. The spinach was chopped, frozen, and thawed.

I just threw in a slice of RAW sweet potato.
The shrimps seem to have problem gnawing it.. perhaps it's too hard ?

Anyway, how long can I leave the RAW or cook sweet potato in the tank ?
Should I leave it until the shrimps finished it ? It coud takes days at this speed... :-D :-D

But will it turn bad and foul the water ? Please advice.
