i ask my self a question and did not found yet any reliable answer.
everybody who read the good article mustafa write know how chrimp reproduce.
but my question is , if the egg cycle stop if there is no male present to mate.
in other word , did the female still develop egg in the ovarie as a cycle ?
if yes this will mean :
- egg develop in ovaries no matter what if shis mature
- egg go down to pleopods after a certain time or a molt no matter what
- egg get fetilize when pass by the genital opening if sprem was drop there
- egg on the pleopods. (if fertilize they stay there , if not get drop)
am i wrong assuming this ?
other question is if a female never meet a male , is she still produce eggs ?
thanks
egg cycle
