I am having a tough time getting my nitrates down. Been doing the water changes and double and triple dosing with Prime. I have been gathering plants and they are starting to grow. Has anyone tried Nitra-Zorb which is the recommendation in the API test kit? I have only lost one adult RCS (so far)
Thanks for any input.
What are your levels now? Have you seen any negative signs/symptoms in your shrimp, ie sluggish, not forraging, trying to get out of the water? If not then just observe and try to change the chemisty too much because you might do more harm then help. I go by the statement, treat the patient not the numbers.
I have 4 tanks, 1 X 29g, 2 X 10g and 1 X 5g...all reading 40+. I did test my tapwater and it also contains nitrates (can't remember the level) I was doing a little research and API has a tap water filter but no info on the site about it. I will take your advice and not stress it so much
