Note the big claws. Still wondering if pincer size is a form of sexual dimorphism.

What camera equipment are you using? If you are using a SLR what len are you shooting with? Love your pics!

That's not an opae' ula they do live in the same environments but they are usually a little bigger and more dominant than the Opae.

The camera is my cell phone, a Samsung Galaxy S 3. For the real close up pics and video I use a macro lens available online for the cheap.

I've checked. The species you're referring to is built differently, long and narrow compared to our specialty, and with (relatively speaking) long "arms".
