Question about snails

Hi everyone,

All of you on here are very helpful and I have a quick question about a snail I just recently purchased I bought the little guy on Monday and he hasn't moved since I put him in the tank.... Should I remove him? I retrieved him yesterday there was no odor and the trap door was still tightly closed so I'm at a loss not sure if it is dead or alive???? Thanks for all the help

What kind of snail is it?

If it hasn't moved in days and days, take it out and put it in some pure water, if it still doesn't move then it's dead.
