Where to buy in Canada

Post by GreatCanadian »

Hi all,

I happened to be researching ecospheres when I stumbled across this site. Needless to say, my desire for an ecosphere has disappeared. However through contact with Mustafa, I have discovered that they do not ship to Canada. Does anyone know where I can get these in Canada? I won't be stocking the tank until probably mid-January after we get back from Christmas vacation, but will have tank cycled and ready to go by then. Thanks in advance for any information you may offer.

I bought from Mustafa and drove it up here. I didn't find any good suppliers here but now I got a ton so I'm glad I did it.

Oh that's surprising to hear. I wish Mustafa shipped there (close neighbors, right :?: ), cus buying through him is really the best way to start responsibly owning/raising opae ula.

Hope you find a solution to this!

Unfortunately, shipping livestock to Canada is like shipping anywhere internationally. Need an import/export license and must pay for the US Fish and Wildlife to inspect every shipment...inspection fee is over $150 per shipment. Not worth it to do this unless someone buys LOTS of shrimp regularly for resale or something. Having said that...there aren't any other commercial breeders out there, so, unfortunately, any other shrimp that one might see for sale are almost certainly from the wild.
