Is Plastic Decor safe?

Post by Opaela »

I am moving my Opae Ula to a new home( I'm relocating to a different location). I wanted to try to have some plastic decor and I am wondering if there's success story with them. ( I am very suspicious that it might leak poisonous things.)

PS, I'm pretty sad that four of my opae ula were berried and devastated by the shipping and everything(had to UPS).. Most young shrimpy that just got out of berry stage failed to survive this relocation. Lots of eggs were dropped(probably dead) as well. :(

Sorry to hear about your experience shipping these shrimp! :( The plastic plants should be fine, especially since they seem to be made for aquariums. They'll grow algae on them just like any other surface in your tank and the shrimp will pick on the algae.
