Safe Exterior Glass Cleaner?

Hi,

Wondering the best way to get fingerprints off the outside of my 1-gal glass jar. I've tried just wiping with water and that doesn't work very well. Haven't tried vinegar and water yet because I wasn't sure if vinegar fumes would be toxic? I've also seen glass cleaners made specifically for aquariums - has anyone tried these? Or, is it ok to pre-spray regular, non-ammonia glass cleaner on a rag far away from the tank and wipe the outsides down?

I use a damp with water only micro cloth and follow up with a dry micro cloth. Works great.
