NOOB QUESTION: Brackish Snails, Algae and Cycling

Post by ProLogic »

Hi All,

Quick noob question: Could I potentially order Macroalgae and snails and put them in my new tank immediately to start and help the cycling process or would the snails die in an uncycled tank?

Thanks for your help in advance

You can. You should also feed the snails something so that they can create waste which in turn will help cycle the tank. You'll need some type of fertilizer(waste) in there to keep your algae alive.
