tiny spots on chaeto

There are tiny tiny white or pale spots on the filaments of my chaeto. Reproductive structures? Shrimp bites? Some kind of organism?

las they are too tiny to photograph. But they don't seem to have gotten any bigger or more numerous. Curious.
