Re: RCS with a worm or something
Sorry, i'm not able to post photos. She seems to be acting fine, and now the "worm" is gone. I don't know what to make of this.

RCS with a worm or something
I just noticed that my bigest reddest RCS has a tiny little white thing sticking out of her back. I thought something might be wrong with her because she developed an opaque pink stripe down her back a while ago (she use to be translucent), I thought it was something that just happened with ag...

Re: Can cherry shrimp naturally mutate into crystal red shrimp?
Those look like breaks in the shell to me, I had one die from that. Check this out viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2605&hilit=died+shell
Those aren't my pictures but that is exactly what happened to one of mine.

Both berried females released and there is another one berried now too. There are babies everywhere, they are about 1-2mm long now. I...

Make that 2 berried females, so I guess I'll have babies in 3-4 weeks?

Re: Shrimp tank +planaria -- veggies ok?
I've been trying to think of a way to rid my tank of "buggers" for a while now. I have an idea but it is probably completely nuts. Oh well, here it is. First, take everything out of your tank that you don't want to die. Then, find a way to run an electric current through the water in your ...

I think they are also doing this to clean themselves. Watch their back legs, they reach around and wipe all over. It reminds me of a fly.

Grammar 101
Please correct me if I'm wrong. "Shrimps" is not a word, you say "Shrimp" if you are talking about 1 or 100. Its just like you wouldn't say "Hey, look at those deers."

Re: Can shrimp fracture their exoskeleton?
I've been doing some searching trying to find a picture that looks like them. I think they are ostracods. I'm going to go to my parents house to get my microscope. Go to http://www.dogpile.com and do a search for images of ostracod2, it will be the second image. Sorry I couldn't get the picture to s...

Re: Can shrimp fracture their exoskeleton?
They seem to be fine. They come out and swim around alot more now. I just wish I knew what all of these bugs are. Probably need a new thread for that though.
