Hi, I received bee shrimps twice from a German hobbyist. The first time there was no dead shrimp on arrival and none died after acclimatisation. The second time, because of a problem the package arrived in 3 weeks and only 3 shrimps out of 20 were dead. 2 other shrimps died a few days later. I think...

wwwFish-ForumS.com, I also have tiger shrimps. Some are bluish like yours and others are rather blond.

But your shrimp is not what is called blue tiger shrimp. The blue tiger shrimps have orange eyes, not black eyes.

Yes, it is ovaries. Thanks to that yellow spot, you can easily make the difference between males and females. Moreover red cherry males are not as colored as females, they are sometimes colorless with single red stripes. Have a look here :) .

Re: tiger pregnant! a few questions.

my tigers finally got pregnant, i was wondering where they went, then I did some remodeling and found two with eggs. one is orange with stripes.. like a real tiger. the other is clear with stripes, like usual. Pregnant females often hide. is it normal to see orangish tiger with stripes? do they get...

The yellow object is not the stomach, it just shows that it is a female  .

Could you take a photo?

How big is the shrimp? Male cherry are much smaller than male Amano.

Hi, I think you shouldn't have moved the pregnant shrimps in another tank. I tried once to move my pregnant shrimps in another tank and they also got rid of their eggs. I think pregnant shrimps are sensitive to changes of water parameters. If you want them to carry eggs again, put a male in the tank...

Hi, I have had a goldfish with my red cherry shrimps for a few weeks, I never saw him catch any shrimp. It was a 3 inch goldfish, he was not rapid enough to swallow a shrimp :D . I then put that fish in another tank because he often mistakes pellets and shrimps even if he couldn't catch the shrimps ...

Hi, It is a really nice setup. Your driftwood is beautiful :) . How many species do you keep in that tank? I can see cherries, bees, CRS and green neon shrimps. I wouldn't keep CRS and bee shrimps in the same tank because of risk of crossbreeding. It would be a pity because it seems that your shrimp...

Hi,

a dead shrimp is really different from a molt. It looks like a cooked shrimp. The molts are translucent. They do have the antenna attached to them.

Hi,

if you want a species easy to breed, just choose red cherry shrimps. They are really prolific. They can adapt to various water parameters.

Hi, it can't be Amano shrimplets. The females give birth to larvae not shrimplets. And the larvae need brackish water to grow up. You can see here how to breed Amano shrimps. There are several species of blue shrimps, sometimes artificially colored. Didn't you see any shrimp carrying eggs? Anyway, I...
