Wild caught crays are fine to have as pets. Most stores get ther crays from crayfish farms. They are caught in rivers, creeks, ponds and lakes. Keep the temperature in the 70's, if he starts looking bad, just put him back in the creek.

Hey, petco gets there crays from Apet, there crayfish are crossbreds. Most of them are rusty crays
They sell them for like 1.99 or something, and they DO NOT last very long together at all. They fight like rats.

Yeah, I like sponge filters in 10 gallons and up. I have what you have in my ten gallon and the shrimp and there babies are doing just fine. You can always try and put 1 clam in there and see how it does. But good call on the ramshorns.

Hi Solaris, I would have to say java moss, and duck weed... Shrimp love to hang around the surface area 2, mine hang upside down from my duckweed... Duckweed grows like crazy 2. Why have plants? well they cure high levels of nitrates in your water. Reduces shrimp and fishes stress , less stress more...

Anything over 80 will kill them a.s.a.p. Don't get them, as I said before. SNAILS :: Most snails will do okay in 80 degree temps. but there life span will shorten.
