GB, So far I have seen 3 females carrying a bunch of eggs but have only seen 2 shrimplets, that look a lot like the one in the first pic.

I take a small plastic coke bottle like this one and cut it. http://aquadad.com/Gallery/albums/Shrimp/PICT0434.jpg then just invert the top hold it with a rubber band. Put some food in the bottom place it in the tank and soon they will climb in. http://aquadad.com/Gallery/albums/Shrimp/PICT0435.jpg

They might still be around, its that you just can't see them. They can hide really good if they want good. When I first started keeping shrimp I had the same concern but soon realized that whatever number of shrimp I can see they are probably 3 or 4 times as many hiding around the tank somewhere. I ...

Wood shrimp with algae on it

I just saw one of my wood shrimp for the first time in about 2 weeks. And I noticed he had algae growing on him. Is this common or bad for the little guy?

I keep my nitrates at about 20ppm and my PO4 at about 2-3ppm Heavily planted tanks with CO2 injection. And I have not noticed any negative effectes on the Cherry,Tiger or Bumblee Bee shrimp. I wonder since this an inorganic form of Nitrate then it might not affect them the same way as Organic Nitrat...

I have some Crypts in my shrimp tank and see no adverse affect on the shrimp. My original population of 15 have increased and I always see baby shrimp. Just remeber, just cause I see no affects doesn't mean that their isn't one.

Not only in my shrimp tank but all my tanks.
You can buy a big bag for a few bucks and it will last a long time.
