I've had three vampire shrimp for over a year and a half now. They are all about three inches long each and dark blue.
I would like to know how easy/hard it would be to successfully breed vampires (if any of you have bred them) and how to do it.
From what I have read they require brackish water to breed, is this true?
Also I was looking at azgardens.com and they say that none of their vampires are wild caught; they are all farm raised. Could that be true?
How do you breed Atya gabonensis?

No, this could not be true. What is possible is that their importer has a screened in section of a river or creek and harvests them from that area, and so claims that these are not wild caught, but they were not raised from larva.I was looking at azgardens.com and they say that none of their vampires are wild caught; they are all farm raised. Do a search on this forum for azgardens before you buy.
