Macrobrachium are predators, so... yes, the Neon probably was dead - the shrimp killed it before it started to eat it.

Hi Jackie,

Oh, I didn't know shrimp may kill neon tetra. :? My tigers and cherries don't kill my fish, they just eat dead fish (fish died naturally).

Thanks for the picture Jacky. My alpha male is also developing a reddish tail by the way. I am curious what it will look like when it is fully grown and assumes fully dominant coloration.
