Hi All!
I've had my set up for about a year now and finally have 3 berried shrimp! I've looked through the message board and can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for... Do I need to separate the babies once they hatch? Do I need to worry about the adults eating the babies? Anything else I should know about raising baby shrimp? Thanks!

Re: Baby Shrimp Question
The babies will be fine in with the adults. They will be free floating larvae for about 10 days and then morph into shrimp.

Re: Baby Shrimp Question
No worries, all fine together! Just remember there will be a period of time after they turn into tiny shrimp when they will seem to disappear entirely for a while. They are still there--just so tiny!
Re: Baby Shrimp Question
My tank just had 1 month old baby shrimp. My understanding is that the hatched shrimp will detect water movement and when there's a threat it will bounce around. Thus most likely adult shrimp will not mistake them as food. but if there are dropped eggs, that's good food for them.
