I am adding co2 which lowers the ph. Ferts are KNO3, K2SO4 and flourish. It is a medium to high light tank with 330 Watts of power compacts. I usually do 30-40% water change once a week with occasional slips to once every two weeks (I cut the ferts then). I usually add a 1/2 gallon of RO water a day due to moisture loss.
Because I really couldn't measure the PO4 I bought a resin to removed the PO4. Now have started adding it back in small amounts (~2ppm). My algea issues seem to be falling in line.
I might add some snails and shrimp back in. Though my fish load might not be the best for living with shrimp (redline barbs, golden barbs, ottosinclus, bristlenose plecos and zebra danios).
Concern about phosphate level.
